Homecoming was another spectacular event in Washington Union’s history. They scored another big win for Varsity and junior varsity football teams. The floats were shockingly extraordinary, including the homecoming king, queen, princes, and princesses.

The homecoming court was filled with much diversity from different groups around campus. The freshmen prince and princess were Anthony Shepard and Anahisa Flores, sophomores were John Estrada and Destiny Ortiz, and juniors were Dylan Freitas and Mai Thao.

The candidates for Homecoming King were Deontay Greenberry, Manuel Zarate, Arturo Arguijo, and Nelson Vasquez and candidates for Homecoming Queen were Emmalie Castro, Alexis Felix, Victoria Hernandez, and Nicole Ornelas.

“Being homecoming princess was good because it was exciting and shocking, I never thought I’d win,” Flores said.

“It feels exciting to be homecoming princess. Yeah being homecoming princess means a lot to me, because I had a lot of support.” Thao said.

“It feels good knowing that I got a lot to come back next year. It means a lot being homecoming king I guess.” Greenberry said.

“It was cool and exciting being homecoming prince. Yeah being homecoming prince means I got a lot of friends that think a lot about me.” Estrada said.
